This pic was taken when I was invited to speak at the AIFP Annual Conference about passion in my work some time back.
We are offered new opportunities every single day to stand a little bit taller and to open ourselves up to a bigger world that we did not see as being possible just the day before.
To sit with something where you know that you have a bolder presence in sharing, and to not offer this thing a voice, it feels doable for a period of time.
However, at some point our refusal to pay attention and act on the seemingly scary stuff, leads to a whole bunch of unfathomable synchronicities that begin showing up and running havoc across our lives. And when we try to tell ourselves that it does not matter if we share this thing, it sells our reason for existence desperately short.
What is worse than this is that we begin to bury ourselves just a little bit.
Maybe we don’t even realise that we are doing it in the beginning, however over time, our trajectory edges more and more off course.
And the impact of this on our wellbeing is seen and felt both within our being, across our lives and it ripples out toward those close to us.
It affects the way that we make decisions and how we live our lives.
If there is one of many things that my work and personal life has claimed to be true, it’s that we have got to give our experiences a voice.
Even when it’s really hard.
Even when it means advocating for ourselves.
Especially when it means advocating for ourselves.
Even when this happens on our own.
Even when we don’t know what will happen.
Even when it may hurt initially.
Even when we want to fight it.
Even when we feel blocked.
Even when we feel compressed.
Because it’s likely that we won’t feel better until we do.
This is the only way to move from the isolation of our experiences and to allow this to become the medicine that heals us first, and those around us, secondly.
Our voice, the way that we use our full selves, our body, language and expression are powerful movers for change, raising awareness and advocating for humanity.
Day 6 of The Societe is about how we use this human vessel and voice box to strengthen our voice for change and to communicate more effectively, both in our lives and as leaders.
PM me to grab the details.
