Born and raised in New York

Where I live: currently Antigua, Guatemala

Who I am in the world:

I am a storyteller and woman of the world. Most at home in the questions, I’m always curiously observing inner and outer worlds to tell the stories that weave them together.

Having grown up in New York as a Chinese-American-Brazilian to immigrant parents, I am no stranger to diversity and that feeling of never quite belonging anywhere, yet feeling at home everywhere. That’s probably why at heart, I feel like an “anthropologist of why.” Why is the world like this, and how can I shift humanity’s story from separation to integration?

My love for the multicultural is probably why I’ve traveled to 20+ countries and played translator in all of my life’s work — whether it’s hosting world-shifting podcast conversations with leaders in the sustainability + social justice space, or currently changing the conversations with a brand, content and human development consultancy that I co-founded.

What is my story beyond helping others find theirs? After 3 years of body-centered storytelling, I finally published my coming out story, “How I’m Curing the Cancer I Never Had with Epigenetic Science.” As a woman living with the BRCA1 breast and ovarian cancer gene, I’m rewriting the uncharted “epigenetically-empowered path” for women who wish to keep their body parts and generate long-lasting health alongside Western medicine.

What’s the story I wish to rewrite for women?

I’d like for all women to come into radical remembrance of their power in this world, and that they can trust in this power to move them through life.

I wish for all women to feel fully safe in their body. Trust that we all have a right to establish a relationship with our personal truth outside of any system, cultural norm, or role that society places on us. Trust that you fully belong here, just as you are without needing to prove your productivity or worth. You are already worthy and enough.

Trust that you can fill your cup first, because in doing so, you are better able to show up in the world and do something pretty epic for the world.

Let’s change that conversation from the inside out. It starts with you.
