Ida Rahayu

My name is Ida Rahayu. I am originally from East Java, Indonesia but I have lived in Bali for over 10 years.
I am just a tini tiny part of the ecosystem in this world and believe that in order to sustain ourselves as human being we need to be able to live in harmony with all other parts of the ecosystem.
Every little thing I do will have impacts; we have options to make them positive. This is the story that I want rewritten for women.
As an individual, we can make positive impacts in every little thing we do including the way we eat.
That’s why I started a program called Seeds to Table in Bali Schools to help people, especially students and our future generations, be aware of the impacts of the food they eat to their health and wellbeing, environment and society.
Seeds to Table is an educational platform that provides solutions to waste problems, unsustainable food production and unhealthy diets that we are facing right now around the world.
I believe that education is the key to help especially students as our future generations to make the impacts on food they eat positive.
This is the story that I next want to write for myself; I play my role as part of the big world to respect all other parts of the ecosystem (plants, animals, water, soil, microorganisms, fungi, air etc.) and live in harmony with all of them.
I hope what I do as an individual also inspires others.
