Carol Beuth

I have worked in community helping fields across a diverse range of roles. I am a warm and passionate woman with a great sense of humour. I will be a familiar face at the women’s circles and workshops where I will ensure you feel held and well taken care of. I am inspired by women who know what they believe in and are empowered to share it authentically. Through my own life experience I am particularly interested in the intersection of race and womanhood and hope to lean into and understand other intersections of being. The essential reason I am so excited about The Aspire Series is because there is a need for safe and strong communities where women are allowed to be seen as they are and have their voices heard and celebrated. I also love travelling, working with my hands and making pottery.

I am a yoga teacher and I'm particularly passionate about sharing yogic philosophy with my peers and leading students through an embodied practice. I have led meditation and community projects, and have also been involved in coaching. I will teach yoga and also support women’s circles and programs through The Aspire Series. What excites me most is cultivating a sense of community, this lights me up! Community is exactly what I want to bring to the The Aspire Series; a safe place where women can authentically share and be with each other - it's from this place we can all grow and support each other.

Kara Mandel

Kara Mandel is an artist and yogi living in Melbourne. What began as a therapeutic art and asana practice years ago has evolved into an intimate platform of self-inquiry and devotion to conscious expression, on the mat and in her art practice. Through a curious exploration of movement, meditative practices, ritual and personal experiences as a woman, she has seen her inner and outer landscapes shift and as such, her practices deeply influenced by these moments.

She has long held a deep fascination for the physical/emotional/spiritual body, and how each individual’s personal and collective experience shapes their perceptions of the world, creating the lens through which they define themselves.

Her practice encourages students to examine their current states and explore boundaries, physically and mentally, while cultivating endurance and compassion throughout the whole body. She is known for her tender, explorative teaching style, coaxing her students to feel at home in their bodies, to soften and to connect from a place of patience and curiosity.

Kara began teaching after completing her 200 hour YTT at PachaMama Eco-village in Costa Rica. During this transformative experience, she trained in a unique fusion of Hatha yoga and Shaolin energetic arts with her teachers Velan and Adya. It is with immense gratitude that she continues to share these teachings across Melbourne.

She has also studied meditation and Yogic Philosophy with Dr. Keshava Murthy at Sarvaguna Yoga Dhaama in Dharamsala, India.

Kara will be facilitating yoga and meditation practices throughout The Aspire Series.
